Orpheus. Eurydice. Amor – Three Voices of Solitude
In a form of a ’musical installation’ is the antique story of Orfeus and Euridice reeinterpreted. It is told by three different female perspectives in the context of the modern age: the mourning Orfeus becomes a pop-icon, Euridice finds herself and the god of love, Amor, needs no wings anymore. With arias from the classical opera of Christoph Willibald Gluck’ ’Orfeo ed Euridice’ and inspired by contemporary texts of Elfriede Jelinek, Sarah Kane and Carol Ann Duffy the show experiments with genres of theater, opera and fine arts.
